Day O is as pretty from the front as it is from the sea. A Provence blue main gate opens to an elegant circular drive filled with stunning tropical foliage, your own private oasis. Upon entering the villa you see the pool and beyond a forest of sea grapes and the azure blue water of Baie Plum. A large gazebo at the sea’s edge provides the perfect perch to observe the rich pink sunset.
The expansive pool and covered terraces make excellent use of the outdoor space both for dining and lounging; it’s a perfect place to enjoy sea views, tropical breezes and beach access. Palms, sea grapes and colorful shrubs are planted all around the terrace. Terracotta flooring seamlessly connects the exterior with the interior.
The main living space is a large open plan. Low coral stone walls divide the interior spaces and create visual interest. The mood is eclectic Mediterranean meets Caribbean with arched windows, ironwork, vaulted ceilings and flowing banquettes. Painted furniture, natural woods and rattan mix with soft yellow, greens and blue fabrics. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open fully to the outdoors. A well-equipped kitchen in an elegant French Provence style has a romantic attitude in soft butter yellow cabinets and brown granite counters. It is spacious and open to the view.
The spacious master bedroom is just off the living room. Sliding glass doors open wide to the view and tropical breezes. The mood is romantic with a poster bed, pretty French doors and serene off white linens and fabrics with touches of color. The other bedrooms are equal in size; each has fabulous views. One room has a sleeping alcove perfect for a child. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom in the colorful iconic Provence tiles. All have walk in showers with exterior views of the garden; one has a sea view.
Although secluded, you are close to amenities. It is a five-minute drive to Baie Nettle’s culinary stars Le Sand, Dreams and Mezza Luna. Wonderful gourmet food and wine stores are just a short drive away in Cupecoy along with the Starz Casino and fine dining restaurants Escape and Temptation. A short 15-minute drive brings you to the International airport and the night scene of Maho. The French Capital of Marigot is just as close and provides you with Duty Free shopping, boutiques, bakeries and the Creole Market.
