Christmas Serenades take place throughout the island, every Tuesday and Friday evenings in December. Another seasonal display is “Maison du Pere Noel” – Santa Claus’ house. Located on the French side, this private residence features spectacular holiday lights and decorations.

Aqua Mania Adventures offers water fun for all ages. Trips available include: Saba for hiking and world-class diving, St. Barts to see the life-styles of the rich and famous, or the British Sisters “Anguilla and Prickly Pear”, boasting powder white beaches and reefs with thriving marine life.

Cod fritters, or accras, are small donuts prepared from cod, and are a favourite around the holiday season.

Black cake is the fruitcake of the Caribbean. Essentially, it’s a mix of English Christmas pudding with Caribbean ingredients (including Caribbean rum). Some of the best Black Cake can be found at The Jerk & Roti Hut in Philipsburg.

Take a spin around St. Martin/Maarten in a Scarab speedboat. Enjoy the beauty of the island from the water, with 700 horses, and a top speed of 65 mph.

Guavaberry punch is an island favourite around the Christmastime. The guavaberry is a traditional liqueur of Saint-Martin produced from aged rum, brown sugar and wild guavaberries that grow in the hills in the centre of the island.

Flutter on over to the Butterfly Farm. Located at the top end of the island by Orient Beach, this enclosed farm is great fun for children of all ages, and includes full education on butterflies. The butterflies are everywhere, and will even land on your hands and shoulders.

Soar through the rain forest by Zip Line at the Loterie Farm. Located near Colombier, this is a great adventure for all ages. There are two zip line tours that go through the rain forest, one for small children and a harder one for teens and adults.

Rhino Safari is a 2 ½ hour water fun-filled tour by small 10’ rubber 2-person boat, giving you a full tour of Simpson Bay Lagoon and the island from the water, including snorkelling in the Caribbean Sea.
